Solar-Powered PCB Business Card
A business-card-sized PCB that harvests light to run a small microcontroller — a hand-out that's also a working piece of hardware.
- STM32L433022025
E-Ink Etch-A-Sketch
A low-power STM32 + E-Ink drawing device with shake-to-erase, coin-cell power, and a custom IT8951 display driver — targeting 60 hours on a single cell.

Hardware / PCB Engineering Intern
Seneca Polytechnic · Toronto, ON
- Designing and bringing up PCBs for firefighting drones — boards that handle Ethernet communication between an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, LiDARs, and Starlink, collect sensor data, and deliver power to the water/foam dispense system.
- Leading an initiative to explore a real-time FPGA inference pipeline, starting with on-board image preprocessing.
- Sep 2025 – Dec 2025
Hardware Engineering Intern
AlumaPower Corporation · Sarnia, ON
- Designed a 6-layer STM32-based PCB in KiCad for telemetry and actuator control supporting thermal management and hydrogen monitoring, reworking the board architecture to cut PCB area by 20%.
- Implemented power and signal conditioning with voltage regulators, op-amps, low-pass filters, and soft-starts, plus custom breakout boards for a hydrogen sensor and an ST-Link debugger.
- Wrote and tested embedded C firmware in CubeMX / STM32CubeIDE to validate ADCs, timers, and SPI / I2C / UART / Ethernet during bring-up and component selection.
- Ran system-level validation through soldering and rework, SPICE simulation, actuator power testing, and oscilloscope / multimeter waveform verification.
- Jan 2025 – Apr 2025
Energy & Water Specialist Intern
Exergy Associates Ltd. · Burlington, ON
- Built a site-audit data-collection web app in Node.js and Express that generated CSVs matched to custom Excel tables, saving up to 2 hours per audit.
- Modelled building energy and water use to within 5% of actual bills using drawings, datasheets, and RETScreen to propose efficiency measures.
- Developed a company website in React to strengthen online presence.
- Sep 2024 – Present
Electrical & Firmware Subteam Member
Midnight Sun Solar Race Car Team · Waterloo, ON
- Designed Altium PCBs for battery monitoring and power regulation using comparators with hysteresis and LDOs to flag voltage irregularities and support system rails.
- Developed STM32 interfaces with HAL and FreeRTOS for a radio module and ADC IC over UART and I2C.
- Designed and simulated a PWM buck converter in LTSpice, building core regulator functions from a 555 timer and op-amp integrator to study DC–DC step-down behaviour.
